Since its meager beginnings in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1969, HyPOWER began to expand almost immediately. 1973 saw two significant expansions; the first in Saskatoon, SK to take care of its mining and forestry customers; the second in Prince George, B.C. This out of province expansion was soon to become the norm as HyPOWER quickly gained management experience, qualified staff and quality product lines. We soon had locations in the major industrial centers in all four western Canadian provinces.

In 1996, HyPOWER created Q1 Design and Mfg. As their hydraulic power unit manufacturing facility. This division is located in Delta, near Vancouver, B.C. Q1 and staff members are involved in engineering, design and fabrication of customer specific hydraulic power units.

Today, HyPOWER Systems has 12 stocking locations ranging from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Vancouver Island in British Columbia. We have 12 fully equipped service facilities that are ready to serve their customers either in our building or at the customer's site.

In June 2000, HyPOWER Systems was purchased by Applied Industrial Technologies of Cleveland, OH. We are excited about the many benefits of being part of a 400 plus branch network spanning all of North America. It is through this network we are able to satisfy the needs of our multi-national customers.
